Nothing evokes fond memories and emotions like good food! And, this Thanksgiving I’d like to believe that I served my family plates filled with love and memories of family togetherness.
I blessed my family with succulent, turkey breast marinated with olive oil and fresh garlic; tender, green beans; candied carrots flavored with pineapples and raisins, macaroni & cheese, and silky, smooth, butternut squash pie — yep, I served love on a plate! Through my food, my family tasted how I felt, but may not always say: ‘they mean the world to me!’
Food has power — it can warm the heart of someone homeless, bring a smile to a sad face, and say welcome home to a lonely heart. So, during the holiday season, let’s not underestimate the power of love on a plate!
The way you link food with emotions is spot on!
Keep up the good work!
