heart healthySince February marks the observance of national heart month and the celebration of Valentine’s Day, I thought it only fitting to devote all of my posts in February on foods, tips, news, and advice for maintaining heart health. Each of my posts will focus on simple steps you can take to better the overall heart health of you and your loved ones.

As one of the body’s most vital organs, the heart is essential to your good health. If your heart is unhealthy and weak, then your body suffers. The heart is responsible for pumping blood and oxygen to all parts of the body. To perform this function continuously and effortlessly, your heart needs to be strong to get the job done. If your heart is weak, then you run the risk of heart disease and other illnesses.

There’s much you can do to ensure that your heart stays healthy. ‘What could that be?’ you might ask. Well, for starters, you can begin to add more heart-healthy foods in your diet, exercise on a regular basis, and reduce stress. These simple steps may seem difficult right now, but Take Heart, with commitment and a little discipline, you’re well on your way to being heart healthy.
