When I chose a vegetarian diet over 30 years ago, I knew there were health benefits, but I didn’t think much of the value of good health. But, after having a family, I realized that good health is quite valuable.
So, each day, for myself and my family, I make healthy eating choices: no red meat or pork, plenty of fruits and vegetables, foods low in sodium, sugar, and bad fats, grilled fish and chicken, fruit juices and water, and sweets in moderation.
I realize that my choices will not only give me health benefits, but also contribute to keeping me around to share special moments with my family. Being here for my husband and children is what’s most important. For me, eating healthy is a labor of love and a small price, for a longer, healthier life with my family.
How valuable is good health to you?
